Well, Monday's the first day of class...and to be perfectly honest, I'm not all that ready for it. Like the title says, I'm never ready. I was just getting used to being able to stay up as late as I wanted and taking a nap in the afternoon and stuff.

 

You know, I always say I'm not going to procrastinate on things at the beginning of the semester, but inevitably I end up doing just that on an assignment at least once so I'm going to say that I'll TRY not to procrastinate this time. Not guarranteeing sucess, but yeah:)

I know full well that I'll probably be broke in two weeks from buying books, too. Last semester, I needed a lot of books for one of my classes and I couldn't get them all at once and I fell hideously behind on the reading and when I went to get them later, they weren't there. I did get a B in that particular class, though I felt like I deserved worse.

Now I really don't do the whole New Year's resolution thing, because usually when I make them, they end up being broken not even a week into the new year. What usually follows is much cursing my utter lack of willpower and generally feeling bad about myself.

 

So this year, I have decided to forego the resolutions and make a list of things that I would like to see happen in 2008. Some of them within the realm of possibility, most of them however, stretch the boundaries of reality just a little.These aren't in any sort of order, other than the order they come to me.

 

 

 

 

Well, Christmas was interesting...Sunday we went to my aunt's house for our 'family Christmas'. It was okay, I guess...it was nice seeing everyone again. I got a couple of decent gifts, but mostly I got money from everyone, about $150 from various cards. Among the gifts I got were a really cute pajama set, a small Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom gift set in a really cute red shearling bag, and a box of really nice chocolate candy. Mmm, chocolate!

 

Christmas morning was kind of weird...we woke up, had breakfast and opened our gifts. Then we got dressed and went to church. Usually, after church we go to my grandmother's house to see the family, but because we had it on Sunday we didn't really have anything to do. Later on, we just ate leftovers of our Christmas Eve night dinner.

 

This is what I actually got on Christmas...a L.A.M.B. perfume gift set, Heroes Season 1 on DVD, a blue iPod clock radio dock for my room, another Bath and Body Works set, this time Frosted Cranberry, and a $50 iTunes card.

 

Now it's onto New Year's Eve...I think I'm just gonna stay home, make some food and watch the ball drop on TV with my parents. Usually I go out, but this year, I really don't feel like going out.

 
Well, it's the Friday before Christmas...and I just got my Christmas shopping done this afternoon.  I will NEVER do that again, let me tell you. The mall a couple of days before Christmas is just crazy.  But this year, I had finals and all sorts of stuff right at the end of the semester so I had sort of an excuse. Next year, though, I will try to start my shopping sooner.

 

On a more personal note, we're actually having our 'family Christmas' on Sunday, rather than Christmas Day. Usually, everyone in my family gets together at my grandmother's house for dinner and to exchange gifts and stuff. But this year, my grandmother isn't really feeling all that well so the Christmas get-together is at my aunt's house on Sunday.

 

This year, Christmas  is kinda weird...it doesn't even feel like a holiday leading up to it almost. It's probably something to do with it being in the middle of the week.  Stupid calendar >_<
